The Twentieth Meeting

For this week's meeting, we presented our progress last week with our mentor, Professor Notash. He gave us feedback and recommendations and what we needed to complete the project to have it presentable. Also, some feedback on how we should approach collecting these data.

Week 24  - Meeting 16 - 10/20/21

The Nineteen Meeting

For this week's meeting, we presented our progress last week with our mentor, Professor Notash. He gave us feedback and recommendations and gave us some pointers on what we needed to focus on in the project.

Week 23  - Meeting 15 - 10/13/21

The Eighteen Meeting

For this week's meeting, we presented our progress last week with our mentor, Professor Notash. He gave us feedback and recommendations and raised some reasonable concerns about the output power of our solar panels. Gave us some advice on testing the solar panels.

Week 22  - Meeting 14 - 10/8/21

The Seventeen Meeting

For this week's meeting, we presented our progress last week with our mentor, Professor Notash. He gave us feedback and recommendations and addressed the solar panel's outputs. Based on the graph presented, the graph shows the system only generating a max of 40-45W. Also, our graph shows mW which should be W.

Week 21  - Meeting 14 - 9/29/21

The Sixteen Meeting

For this week's meeting, we presented our progress last week with our mentor, Professor Notash. He gave us feedback and recommendations for our website, videos, and the layout of our presentation. The video for our system should be closer and angle higher so that it would capture the solar panel's movement. We should get some data on charge and discharge rates. We need to update our success requirement.

Week 20  - Meeting 14 - 9/14/21

The Fifthteen Meeting

For this week's meeting, we presented our progress last week with our mentor, Professor Notash. He gave us feedback and recommendations for our stationary tracking data. He addresses what is to be expected for our progress log and our report. He also gave use feedback for our website.

Week 19  - Meeting 14 - 9/14/21

The Fourteenth Meeting

For this week's meeting, we presented our progress last week with our mentor, Professor Notash. He gave us feedback and recommendations for our stationary tracking data. He addresses what is to be expected for our progress log and our report.

Week 18  - Meeting 13 - 9/7/21

The Thirteenth Meeting

For this week's meeting, we presented our progress last week with our mentor, Professor Notash. He gave us feedback and recommendations and suggested we observe what is happen during times that impact the solar panels to generating low output.

Week 17  - Meeting 12 - 8/31/21

The Twelfth Meeting

For this week's meeting, we presented our progress for the last few weeks with our mentor, Professor Notash, and he gave us feedback. We have an idea of things that we need to test and gather data on that will help us progress further is data gathering.

Week 16  - Meeting 11 - 8/26/21

The Eleventh Meeting

For this week's meeting, we went over the syllabus with our mentor, Professor Notash. He mentions that we can reach him in person on campus. If needed, we can come to him during office hours to talk about our project. He then mentions the completion deadline, which is Monday, October 25, 2021, and at least 90% show is completed, and by November 1, it should be completely built. He wants us to make sure to have a schedule made out to keep ourselves on track. The report is due on November 26, 2021, and mentions there are updates to the requirements and that the project will be graded based on contribution. The report is increase going to have 5 chapters now and talked about what is expected.

Week 9 - Meeting 10 - 7/8/21

The Tenth Meeting

For our tenth meeting with our mentor, Professor Notash, we talked about our group progress. There are still many things that we needed to address to prove that our project would function. We are aware that we are not moving as fast as we wanted and are unfortunately out of time. Professor Notash was honest with us, and we understand our group needs to work together. Our team did not work efficiently, and we needed to think outside of the box. There are always other ways to obtain data. We also talked about the possibility of requesting an extension and what efforts we would need to put forth.

Week 9 - Meeting 9 - 7/5/21

The Ninth Meeting

For our ninth meeting with our mentor, Professor Notash, we talked about the motors we wanted to use to replace our old ones that had broken during out testing.  As well as some information regarding the report documentation.

Week 8 - Meeting 8 - 6/30/21

The Eighth Meeting

For our eighth meeting with our mentor, Professor Notash, we talked about the problems we were having with our motors.  Bringing up that our motors ended up breaking during our testing, and brought up the fact that we needed new ones.

Week 7 - Meeting 7 - 6/23/21

The Seventh Meeting

For our seventh meeting with our mentor, Professor Notash, we talked about our hard deadline.  Our group did not have a video demonstration that our project worked, and were asked to have one at the next meeting showing that we had a full working system.

Week 6- Meeting 6 - 6/14/21

The Sixth Meeting

For our sixth meeting with our mentor, Professor Notash, we talked about our upcoming deadline for this project, and how it is next week on Wednesday, June 23rd.  We also mentioned how our system was also done, and it only needed to fully connected now, as all of the components had been previously tested and partially put together.

Week 5- Meeting 5 - 6/7/21

The Fifth Meeting

For our fifth meeting with our mentor, Professor Notash, we talked about our upcoming deadline for this project, and how it is approaching fast.  He emphasized the amount of data required for that date.

Week 4- Meeting 4 - 5/31/21

The Fourth Meeting

For our fourth meeting with our mentor, Professor Notash, we talked about all the testing we had done over the weekend to ensure the code for our panels worked as a single panel.  As well as the testing we did on the controller, display screen, inverter, and battery for our system.  We also talked about how we made the base for our charging station, but how we needed to recut some of it because our cuts were slightly off.  The meeting ended with us discussing our plans for this coming week.

Week 3- Meeting 3 - 5/24/21

The Third Meeting

For our third meeting with our mentor, Professor Notash, we talked about some of the challenges we had faced over the weekend, which included our code and one of our light module positions not moving in the correct direction.  Professor Notash also emphasized that we needed to start moving a little more quickly with our work on our project.

Week 2- Meeting 2 - 5/17/21

The Second Meeting

For our second meeting with our mentor, Professor Notash, groups met individually.  We went over a problem that we had with our motors, as well as progress made testing all of the components of our system to ensure they work as intended.  Afterwards, we went over comments, suggestions, and questions provided by industry people who watched us present our proposal in April.  Lastly, we went over plans to move forward and the next steps to take.

Week 1- Meeting 1 - 5/12/21

The First Meeting

For our first meeting with our mentor, Professor Notash, all assigned groups met up and went over the requirements for the senior design project, compared to the proposal state.  Each group went over steps that were taken and progress made during the break.
