Requirements and Specifications

The solar tree automated recharging station uses solar panels to generate energy to power the whole system. It uses solar trackers and motors to adjust the position of the panels. The solar panel converts light energy that will charge the battery for the charging station. When the requirements are met below, the solar tree should be functional.

Brain Scans

High-Level Requirements

  • The solar tracker should navigate the solar panels to optimize light input to the solar panel.

  • The motors adjust each panel using the power generated by the solar tree.

  • The solar tree should use the solar panel to charge the station and power the requiring parts.

Using Tools

Mid-Level Requirements

  • The solar panel should convert solar energy that will charge the battery.

  • The battery should have enough power to power motors, solar trackers, and the Arduino.

Person Writing

Low-Level Requirements

  • The solar tree should be able to withstand outdoor weather and temperature.

  • The solar panel and the solar tracker should be able to detect light.

  • The solar tree should be waterproof.

  • The charging station should be able to charge phones, portable chargers, and small items.
